Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci - (born on 12th November 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej / Now Onesti, Romania), Romanian gymnast. First gymnast in history to score a 10 for competing in the Olympics. Bela Karrolyi who was the Romanian gymnastics coach who later became her coach later in life, discovered her at age six. The first time she competed was at the national junior championships which she finished 13th in 1969. In 1970, she took home the title. In 1972, in a meet of communist countries junior athletes before the Olympics she won 3 gold and silver medals. In 1973 and '74 she was the junior champion in all aspects. In her very first competition in senior level, Lyudmila Turkishcheva, a Russian athlete, won five gold medals as well with one silver. She won the American Cup in New York City in 1976 becoming the first woman to perform a reverse double salto, which is dismounting from the uneven parallel bars. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. In her teens she started appearing on traveling shows like Ice Capades as a skater along with her younger sibling Nina Wayne. Carol Marie Wayne was a born on the 6th day of September, 1942 in Chicago Illinois. Carol's first job was in entertainment in her teens. Her first job was as a figure skater, performing alongside her younger sister Nina Wayne as part of the touring entertainment show named Ice Capades. The show featured dramatic ice skating shows.
